The NNHPD has confirmed that they will postpone the cost recovery fees for Natural Health Products (NHPs). This process will not proceed on December 1, 2025, as originally planned.
According to correspondence from sources to Health Canada, the department has stated it will pause any new fee implementation, and has not set a new date for the cost recovery program.
How will this affect you?
- No new additional fees and added time to plan for the future: Businesses won’t face the new fees immediately, easing financial pressure.
- Future: Expect future fees to align with NHP regulations, and benefit small businesses with fee reductions.
